1. Privacy Policy
Vibetool Manager values your privacy and data security. The product follows “local-first, minimum collection, user control” principles.
- Collection & Processing
- We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII).
- No account login or cloud sync is required; all data stays on your device.
- The app ships without telemetry, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers.
- Data Scope
- We only manage configuration files related to tooling capabilities (e.g., MCP client configs, global rule documents, custom command templates).
- We do not read or upload your code, secrets, tokens, API keys, or environment variables.
- Backup snapshots are stored locally in the
~/.vibetool_manager directory.
- Permissions & Paths
- Before each write, the app shows the target path and diff, and automatically creates a local backup.
- You can adjust paths or disable write operations anytime via the Settings page.
- Third-Party Services
- Interactions with external tools (VS Code / Claude extensions / Gemini CLI / Codex / Cursor, etc.) run entirely on your machine; we do not share user data with their vendors.
- Children & Minors
- The app targets general developer audiences, is not designed for children, and does not collect information about minors.
- Policy Updates
- We may update this privacy policy; significant changes will be highlighted on the in-app Policies page. Continued use signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Terms of Use
- License Scope
- You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on personal or company devices for lawful purposes.
- Acceptable Use
- Do not use the app in ways that violate laws, infringe third-party rights, or breach third-party service terms.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt normal operation, nor attempt to bypass security measures.
- Content & Responsibility
- You are responsible for any content or configurations generated, imported, or exported via the app.
- We do not guarantee compatibility, availability, or correctness of third-party tools.
- Changes & Termination
- We may update these terms or the app after reasonable notice.
- If you violate the terms, we may terminate your license; you must uninstall and cease use.
- Disclaimer
- The app is provided “as is” without express or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Governing Law & Disputes
- Governing law and dispute resolution follow the laws applicable in your distribution region. Where no mandatory rules apply, disputes are subject to the laws and courts of your residence.
3. End-User License Agreement (EULA)
- Grant of License
- You may use the app in accordance with this EULA and the Terms of Use.
- Restrictions
- Unless legally permitted, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
- You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute the app.
- Ownership
- The developer retains all intellectual property rights to the app, updates, patches, and documentation.
- Open Source Components
- The app may include third-party open-source software; you must comply with their respective licenses. License texts are available on the “About / Open Source Licenses” page or under
LICENSES/ in the repository.
- Updates & Support
- Updates and support may be provided at our discretion; availability will be communicated in-app.
4. Data & Security Notes (for Review / Compliance)
- Data Flow: All configuration reads/writes happen locally; no data is uploaded to servers.
- Sensitive Information: The app does not touch API keys or tokens; logs/backups mask sensitive paths where necessary.
- User Control: Diff previews and automatic backups precede each write; users can roll back or disable writes at any time.
- Erasure: To remove residual data, delete the
~/.vibetool_manager/ directory after uninstalling.
